Lights up: Iconic 50s Lamps Get an Update

2014 was a prolific year for 50s lamps re-editions. Below, we selected some of our favourite updates. Enjoy!

Oluce - Marco Zanuso - 275_2

(Oluce – Marco Zanuso – 275 Lamp – 1963)

The 275 Lamp was designed in 1963 by Marco Zanuso as desk lamp and gives both diffused and reflected light.
Today its base and arm are also available in white and nut brown.

Gubi - greta grossman - cobra lamp applique_mix

(Gubi – Greta M. Grossman – Cobra wall Lamp – 1950)

This version of the famous Cobra desk Lamp can be mounted on a wall. Today available in matt white or black.

flos - gino sarfatti - 548 lamp

(Flos – Gino Sarfatti – 548 Lamp – 1951)

The light source of the 548 Lamp is projected towards the internal reflecting screen. Today is available with a LED light source and dimmer switch.

Martinelli luce - Gae Aulenti - Pipisetrello lamp

(Martinelli Luce – Pipistrello Lamp – Gae Aulenti – 1965)

The iconic Pipistrello Lamp is probably one of the most recognisable lamps ever designed. Its updated version has a LED light source and a copper finished base.
