Thrifting With the Smurfies

First a small request 🙂 If you’ll like this post, I would appreciate you to show your love with a Facebook ‘Like’ below.

This said, once a month I go thrifting in Amsterdam North in a place that I particularly love. It’s one of the biggest -probably the biggest- flea market in Europe: the Ij Hallen market.

During the year the market is inside one of the ex warehouses of the hold harbor area. In the summer the market moves outside… it’s absolutely stunning 🙂

Anyway, also last month I went there but -despite the huge number of stalls- I didn’t find anything really exciting except for this calculator’s ancestor…

… this little cute vase…

and this vintage Palmolive hand soap in a really fashionable package: It enhanced my vintage soaps collection 😉

A part from these three, there were an huge amount of ‘small things‘, small pitchers…

…small wooden furniture…

…small musical instruments…

… small porcelain animals…

… small vases…

… small parfume bottles(very small)…

…and a dolls’ cemetery.

I found it extremely fun 🙂 Maybe the sellers were Smurfies and I didn’t notice it.

Ok, to be honest I spotted something else that was particularly interesting: a small sideboard! 😀

If you follow my thrifting tours, you probably know that I’m looking for a mid-century sideboard since months: also this time I wasn’t lucky.

I had a lot of fun this round, even though I didn’t find what I was looking for…but it’s ok, I saved some bucks.

Let’s see what happens next month. 😉
