Mid-Century Home is the online magazine dedicated to midcentury modern and modernist residential architecture. Our mission is to inspire people with architecture and design heavily influenced by modernism.
We are a small team but capable of reaching a broad audience looking for a specific architecture and interior design aesthetic to replicate in their homes.
Who we are looking for?
We need an experienced Senior Editor to support our daily editorial operations with a strong focus on topic research, social media management and planning.ย
The ideal Senior Editor is a curious person who tries to improve the current way of working and is able to see and exploit opportunities.
Youโll be in charge of editorial content across our channels. Youโll also oversee the writers work and own the Editorial and Social media calendars. Copywriting experience is considered a plus.
Responsibilities:
Work in close collaboration with the Editor in Chief to plan and deliver topics for the yearly and monthly Editorial Calendar
Oversee research, production and scheduling of articles to be published on the website using WordPress
Coordinate the writers work to ensure deadlines are met accordingly to the Editorial Calendar
Manage the social media calendar to guarantee a daily reach of our audience across different social media platforms
Monitor and interact with the discussion on our social media to identify possible issues or content opportunities
Create both short and long form copy when needed
Skills:
A self-starter with a can-do, will-do attitude
Familiarity with digital publishing tools and project management experience are a must
Excellent digital marketing skills, including but not restricted to the creation, implementation and monitoring of social media strategies
Excellent editorial skills, including copywriting and editing
Excellent knowledge of WordPressย
Analytical mindset able to identify opportunities from data
Requirements:
Passion and enthusiasm for architecture and interior design-focused content
3+ years of website editorial content creation and distribution required
Ability to successfully organise, prioritise and manage multiple projects under strict deadlines
Excellent communication, collaboration and planning skills with meticulous attention to detail
Detailed knowledge and expertise around all digital platforms
Proficient in WordPress and Google Analytics. Basic knowledge of Photoshop
