Mid Century Home is the first online community entirely dedicated to mid century modern design and modernist architecture.
Since its establishment in 2010, it has quickly become one of the most trustworthy online sources for mid century modern enthusiasts across the internet. Readers can enjoy articles published regularly on the blog and/or comment, share their views and favourite content about mid century modern with thousands of other enthusiasts via our popular social media pages on Facebook and Google+.
To help the community grow, we want to share even more unique, high-quality content. That is why Mid Century Home now looks for a part-time editor with an authentic passion for, and strong knowledge of, mid century modern design and modernist architecture.
Description:
Preferably living in the state of California, US, or one of its nearby States
Excellent written English
Good historical knowledge and real passion for the mid century modern design period and its social background including architecture, design and their protagonists: designers, architects, manufacturers and/or key figures that influenced the aesthetics of the period
Writing and editing daily articles: 4 to 5 per week, approx. 300 words each
Selecting and editing images
Responding to feedback from readers on the articles published
Occasionally attending local fairs, markets, exhibitions or any events related to mid century modern design and/or modernist architecture
Able to respect tight deadlines
Must be organised and able to work on own initiative
Remuneration:
Fixed amount per article : US$ 12
The amount paid can be re-negotiated in three months time based on the results achieved
