The influence of Japanese design on Frank Lloyd Wright homes is well known. So, it’s no surprise that he attracted American-Japanese architect Kaneji Domoto as a pupil whom was invited to produce five homes in Wright’s Usonia.

The Holland/Goudzwaard Residence offers a brilliant example of modest mid-century modern design.

Located in Pasadena, California, it was designed in 1958 by architects Calvin Straub of the firm Buff, Straub & Hensman.
