The idea for this project was to create a modern design at home in its surroundings with a ’natural ease’. This home would provide a comfortable, low-maintenance getaway to help focus on enjoying family time and the surrounding environment.

This home remodel takes place in an area packed with immaculate midcentury homes which have been preserved and protected for decades.

In 1960, a small development was established on a hillside lot overlooking Holmes Run Creek in Falls Church, Virginia. The cluster of eleven homes was inspired by post-and-beam California ranch houses.
