Over the years many have cast doubt on the merits of modernist architecture. Yet its success is all but confirmed in newly built homes, which frequently feature some of the key elements pioneered by such luminaries as Frank Lloyd Wright, Le Corbusier and Richard Neutra, just to name few.

Casa em Aldeia da Serra by SPBR architects is pure minimal. Located in Aldeia da Serra, in Portugal, it looks right out of the Le Corbusier instruction manual.

The entire structure rests on four pillars, which raise the building such that a large space is made available beneath the main structure.
