Built recently by Brugge-based firm Govaert & Vanhoutte Architects, this contemporary house is located just outside the Belgian city of Ghent.
The Modernist inspiration for this contemporary house is visible in the long floating horizontal concrete framework that defines its minimalistic design.

The beauty of the Blue Sky prototype house resides as much in its location as the house itself. Situated in the Joshua Tree National Park in south eastern California, with piรฑon and juniper trees surrounding the structure and a seasonal stream running underneath, it is quite a spectacular environment in which to build a home.
