We just purchased this 1950’s home. There was an addition made and I guess the pillars are for support. Would love to remove them or at least some, since there are so many. Any ideas on where to start or how to make them look less bulky?

My 1952 home is a small ranch. Many of the bathroom floor tiles have cracked. I have a limited budget, but I’d like ideas on color for the bathroom floor tile.

I’m hoping you can help me with the wood walls and ceilings. We have the original plans and the architect specified cedar for the exterior but just “wood” on the interior. The wood is beautiful but looks dry.
