The early 1930s proved a dazzling time for Richard Neutra. The decade began with the architect receiving widespread acclaim following the completion of his path-breaking Lovell Health House in 1929.

Situated in Warren, Michigan, just north of Detroit, the GM Technical Center has served as the heart of General Motorโs engineering research since it was finished in 1956. Built by the great mid-century modernist architect Eero Saarinen, along with his son Eliel, Life magazine hailed it as the โVersailles of Industryโ when it was unveiled.
