  • “Dunn Edwards. Exuberant Orange. I live in Palm Springs, it has to be the perfect orange.”
  • “Got a bit of an Asian inspired look going on with the windows on either side of door and with the roof line. I would go with red. Cannot be a bright red. Has to be darker.
  • “Red. The panels on either side of your door look like Japanese shoji screens and you can definitely pull off an Asian inspired look. It will look super classic and midcentury authentic. Contrary to popular belief, not everything was turquoise or orange back then. We did it with our Eichler several years ago.”
  • “I always say orange because it’s my favorite door color. I’d do orange or red and when you do the landscaping plant some flowers that match.”
  • “What color did the leaves of your three closest deciduous trees turn in the fall? If mostly red-orange, then paint yellow and plant lots of yellow blooming perennials. If mostly yellow, then paint orange and plant lots of orange blooming perennials.”
  • “My sister has a similar color 1970 modern. She’s painted the front door orange, yellow and salmon pink over time. My favs were the orange and pink. If you paint it and don’t like it just paint it again. Good luck. Gorgeous home!”
  • “Also if you’re interested – depending on which direction (N / S / E / W) your front door faces, Feng Shui can help you decide. It brings good energy.”
