We are planning a kitchen remodel and I had hoped to achieve the design we want using IKEA cabinets with fronts by Semihandmade. But the estimate is coming in way over budget. We can reduce it by $12K if we don’t do Semihandmade fronts. Has anyone done IKEA cabinets with IKEA fronts in their MCM home?

- “I did a bunch of research on installing IKEA cabinets. A lot of people complained they were constantly having to go back to the store for hardware. (Hinges, mounting brackets, screws, etc) my IKEA is 80 miles away so decided not to buy them. But they are great. I guess I would advise to order 10% extra hardware and hope for the best. If there was a cabinet maker that specialized in IKEA cabinets it’s that would be good.“

- “We used the cabinets that are normally above the fridge to create the bench, so those are all functioning cabinets. The original kitchen only had two uppers and two base cabinets, so this added a ton of storage for kitchen items“
- “We did IKEA cabinets and used The Cabinet Face for the fronts. To decrease cost we only used those on the top cabinets and stuck with Ikea faces for the lowers. No issues with installing and have been really happy with the outcome.”
