I finally chose a new door color. Now to replace the handle, the glass (I hate the designs so much) and figure out a tile for that entry way. Does anyone else have tile in their entry? What did you use? I like the idea of a cool colored hexagon but committing to a color seems stressful.

- โWe have slate. You can buy it in smaller square tiles โ itโs classic AND period correct for Midcentury and feels more elevated than tile. Natural materials are a big part of MCM design too.โ
- โThe handle may be original? Our 1952 is very like yours and the same quality can run hundreds of dollars. Reeded glass would look nice โ we have reeded glass side lights. We did Italian porcelain tile that looks like marble in our entry, itโs very simple and will never go out of style. Do an MC rug.โ
- โI love the new Verve knob from emtek. Iโve used it on two MCM houses now, one in chrome and one in brushed brass.โ
- โTile doesnโt look midcentury. Looks like contemporary 2000โs West Elm boho chic. Iโd go for something more design neutral.โ
- โI love the door color as is and the iron scrolling, but the handle isnโt right. But a similar one in black would pop.โ
- โLove the orange door color but then again, our houseโs trim is the same color.ย Check out Rejuvenation for some MCM exterior door handle inspiration. We have original terrazzo tile in our entryway and I love it so much. Itโs modern, nature inspired and making quite the come back/ is on trend again.โ
