About The Product
House of Finn Juhl is relaunching the “Little Mother” sofa designed by Finn Juhl in 1945. The sofa comes in two lengths and presents itself as a seamless design with a slight and natural curvature towards the center. The organic shape and tight upholstery nicely accentuate the sculptural expression of the sofa.
The “Little Mother” sofa is entirely handcrafted, down to the smallest detail. It is constructed in an old-fashioned manner consisting of a solid blind frame and handsewn upholstery. Find out more in our exclusive interview with House of Finn Juhl.

About The Designer
Like other modernist pioneers, Danish designer Finn Juhl started from scratch without role models or inherited restrictions.
He designed by measuring his own body and analysing how the individual components of the chair should carry the human body. But contrary to his modernist contemporaries, with their streamlined, scaffolding-like structures, Juhl aimed at a more organic, natural form.

Why We Like It
Danish master Finn Juhl left a deep mark in the furniture industry: his designs are so iconic, and so copied, for a reason. Juhl was a furniture designer who deeply valued the craft process and approached it as a sculptor would.
The Little Mother sofa is just one of the countless beautiful designs he left us and we deeply welcome its comeback as the world can never have enough beautiful furniture.
