In the heart of Warsaw, anย Art Deco apartment renovationย has breathed new life into a 1933 building complex. Designed by Grzegorz Pniok of HAUSLAB studio, this thoughtful transformation honors historical elements while incorporating modern design sensibilities.

Theย renovationย showcases a masterful blend of past and present. Rather than starting from scratch, the architect embraced the buildingโ€™s legacy. Original door and window frames were carefully restored, and vintage parquet flooring, dating back to the flatโ€™s origins, was re-sanded, re-oiled, and revived to its former beauty.

Even the supporting walls, with their rounded corners, were preserved, reflecting the charm of pre-war interiors.

Theย Art Deco inspirationย is most evident in the furniture palette, influenced by a vintage sideboard left by the previous owner. Dark woods, soft greens, and accents of black give the home a cohesive, elegant look.

To contrast the vintage touches, modern lighting was introduced. Fixtures from Polish brand AQForm and a bold chandelier from Spainโ€™s Aromas infuse the space with contemporary flair.

The flatโ€™s layout feels both open and purposeful. The lobby leads directly into the living and kitchen areas. A green ceramic-tiled island defines the kitchen, which features tall veneer cabinetry, while the adjacent dining space boasts an oval table and rattan chrome chairsโ€”another nod to theย Art Deco apartment aesthetic.

In the living room, a terracotta-toned sofa with bouclรฉ cushions sits beside a black leather and chrome armchair. A custom coffee table and a curated TV library further elevate the room, anchored by the original Art Deco sideboard.

The bedroom continues the theme of quiet sophistication. A green-upholstered headboard and a full-length wardrobe line the walls, maintaining harmony with the apartmentโ€™s overall palette. The bathroom is minimal yet elegant, with black and veneer accents set against a white backdrop and a window that frames Warsawโ€™s skyline.

Additional rooms include a guest bedroom and a utility space with laundry facilitiesโ€”making thisย Warsaw apartment renovationย as functional as it is beautiful.

This project exemplifies how anย Art Deco apartment renovation in Warsawย can blend historical preservation with contemporary needs, creating a space that respects its heritage while embracing the present.
