House Tour: a Light, Colorful Mid Century Modern Home

What I really like in this mid century modern apartment is the great use of colors and the rooms in a row; typical of 50s apartments in my city in Italy 🙂

Even if not an open space, is possible to see all the rooms in once if stand in the right point…love it!

The house

In the living room I find the green, brave, sofa absolutely fantastic. On Apartmenttherapy more pics of a previous arrangement.

The guest room with the mid century sofa-bed, the turquoise walls and the Ettore Sottsass’ Olivetti Valentine typewriter poster, a great and cozy combination; I would love to be a guest in that room 😉

Of course in the studio, could not miss an Eames shell chair and a 60s-70s bookshelf .

The bedroom has those gorgeous grey-beige  walls that scream: RELAX, NOW! 😀

I’ve to say that in general the warm, relaxed and cozy walls colors, mixed with the wooden floor and those fantastic door frames -I wish I could have the same- make the trick.

The owners and their inspiration

The owners are a couple, poet her, graphic designer him.

They say to love lightness, transparency, design of all kinds plus mid-century American and contemporary European design… I think they prove it with the fantastic combination of colors, materials and furniture they chose for their house.

They did a great job, mixing nice and cheap stuff …inspiring!
